TED talks has a splendid 10 min flamenco recital by Antonio Muñoz Fernández for those on us who miss the South of Spain due to Covid. The first rhythm is Taranta, a free form from the mining area around Linares and its lead mines, (close to the UNESCO World Heritage towns of Baeza and Ubeda), the second, accompanied by a cousin, playing a cajon, (what used to be an old upturned sock drawer but now a stylist instrument in its own right), a buleria, 12 beat rhythm very upbeat. Great.
